NBA Improvements 2024 - Part 2

I think another way for the NBA to get us excited about new rookies and draft picks is to continue to use the NCAA. The players can learn in a less stressful environment and grow their game as they enter adulthood.

The idea is to promote players on a global scale by having them enter the NCAA via funded NIL type system. The NCAA would pay players enough for them to stay in school instead of getting rookie deals. Or go to a NFL style age rule?

1. Fund NIL for NCAA
2. All players who enter the draft, foreign or domestic must play 1 year (1 and done for global)
3. Remove G-League 1 and done rule
4. Count each year in NCAA as 75% or 100% of a NBA year when it comes to salary

incentivise the players to stay in school for their growth and give credit when they enter league so they do not lose out of the later year growth in salary.

射雕英雄传侠之大者 (The Legend Of The Condor Heroes: The Great Hero) just released another semi offical trailer that now promote the lead star. The lead star is Xiao Zhan (肖战) whom just turned 33 this year. The trailer looks pretty epic and seems to show the highlights of the Gou Jing storyline.



Many places have uploaded the trailer as there is no offical US company with the rights at the moment. Will update the youtube link if something becomes more offical. In the meantime, enjoy the trailer wherever you find it.

NBA Improvements 2024 - Part 1

The recent NBA news is the viewership is down by 30%. And some in the NBA talking heads media have suggested that its the 3 pointers.

I agree. Two many 3s. But I had lost interest in the NBA during the 2011-2012 season. There have been a three times I have come back:

1. Jeremy Lin
2. Warriors Repeat seasons
3. LeBron run with AD in 2019-2020 season.

For me, the game has progressively gotten less entertaining. For example, I watch every Rams game from start to finish. I do not miss anything. Some reasons I do not watch the NBA now.

1. Lakers moved to Spectrum for the local market and I do not have that service
2. So many missed shots
3. Refs have too much influence on the game
4. Offense is predictable, but NBA talent so high, shots still go up

I am probably a old head. But one idea to solve the too many 3s is a three quota of 10 shots per half. After, they all count as 2s. You can still run your offense to shot threes, but after the quota, its not worth as much.

Disney+ Streaming - 2024

Disney+ (D+) is been a major disappointment since its release. With only the older library to impress, the majority of its new releases do not make up for the subscription price.

Although I did watch some of the MCU and Star Wars on D+, I own them on digital and watch it there instead. Outside of Phase 1, I have most of the MCU on digital via Black Friday blu-ray purchases. And recent MCU movies have disappointed.

I actually did not have Disney+ for a year, but found out about the $2 a month addition of D+ to Hulu. Sadly, I also did not get the annual Hulu Black Friday deal this year. So I do not have D+ or Hulu anymore.

I will no longer include D+ monthly post anymore.
