I caught Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla via Netflix a few months back. It reminded me of my childhood days watching those Godzilla marathons on Channel 5 here in Los Angeles. That was back in the 80s.
Oh, the joy of watching badly dubbed Japanese movies. The thrill of watching a man in a Godzilla costume destroy miniatures. What did I know? I was a kid and loved every moment of it. I wanted to be that guy rampaging through there. The blue energy ray was the best!
Well, fast forward 20+ years. I am not digging it and the story is weak. But Yumiko Shaku of Princess Blade and Sky High fame made the movie barely bearable.
