Wonder (奇蹟男孩) is an 2017 film. The movies stars Jacob Tremblay, Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson, and Izabela Vidovic. The supporting cast include Noah Jupe, Millie Davis, and Danielle Rose Russell. The movie was base on a fiction novel of the same name.
The Pullmans are mom, dad, daughter, and son. But the son is special, Auggie has an facial deformity called "mandibulofacial dysostosis." Pullman's have decide to put Auggie in public school instead of continuing home schooling. The daughter Via is also starting high school but her best friend decides to abandon their friendship. Via is devastated but moves on from the encouragement of a boy. Auggie's struggle through 5th grade and gradually documented. We see Auggie is always going to stand out.
This movie is one of the rare movies that my kids and I can watch over and over again. We watched it in the theater, digital, and in the car. My kids have both read the book too.
If you like to cry in movies, watch this one. It's not the romantic type of tear jerker, but the family type.
