Deadpool - 惡棍英雄:死侍

Deadpool (惡棍英雄:死侍) is an 2016 film. The movie stars Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. The supporting cast include Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T. J. Miller, Gina Carano, Leslie Uggams, Brianna Hildebrand and Stefan Kapičić. The film is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, but in the Fox X-Men universe. The film was made on a relative budget, but is now the highest grossing rated R film. A sequel was already in the works before the movie was released publically.

Reynolds plays Wade Wilson, a former special forces turn angel merc. Wade however only takes merc jobs that let him kill bad guys. Wade meets Vanessa Carlysle in a bar and begins a torrid romance that he proposes. However, right when all this happiness is happening to Wade, he collapses and finds out he's got terminal cancer. Vanessa doesn't leave him, but he doesn't want her to see him die and have to take care of him. When approached to an experiment that promises a cure, he takes a chance. Ajax and Angel Dust are the experiment leaders, but it is extremely painful and causes Wade to hate them. Ajax tries one last cure experiment, which slowly suffocates Wade. Ajax reveals that he's the only one that can fix Wade. When Wade transforms into Deadpool, he finds that he's got powers of healing, making him un-killable. But the side effort is that all his surface skin looks burned. He looks for Ajax to find a cure and secretly follows Vanessa. The rest of the story is up to you to find out.

Reynolds is a natural for Deadpool. The version in Wolverine Origins was not that of the current comics. This movie version is closer to the comic version in both fun and irrelevance. The comedy and dialogue of the movie are what stands out. Add to it that Tim Miller paces the story well, makes this even better. But I could have like the movie just for the comedy and dialogue alone.

The X-Men film series adds another great installment. Making Marvel properties the gem of the comic book movie world.
