Men in Black: International (MIB星際戰警:跨國行動) is an 2019 film. The movie stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. The supporting cast include Rebecca Ferguson, Rafe Spall, Laurent Larry Bourgeois, Liam Neeson, and Emma Thompson. The movie is the fourth film of the MIB series, but a spin off.

\

A young Molly Wright sees MIB agents save her family and spends her life trying to prove them. Agent H and High T are partners and stop an alien invasion in Paris. After the event, High T than runs the European branch of MIB. Molly find MIB in New York and is accepted and becomes Agent M. Agent M is paired with Agent H. But instead of getting an investigating case, they are sent to babysit an alien making a trip to Earth. But things get interesting when the alien is killed and they are framed. On the run, they have to clear their name and solve the mole in the MIB. Can they do all that and save the world?

This movie was high on action and a very hard to follow plot. The chemistry of the two is good, but that didn't help the movie much. I won't be watching this a second time. But if its on TNT of FX in the future, I may watch a couple of segments.

Cold Pursuit - 酷寒殺手

Cold Pursuit (酷寒殺手) is an 2019 film. The movie stars Liam Neeson. The supporting cast include Tom Bateman, Tom Jackson, Emmy Rossum, Domenick Lombardozzi, Julia Jones, John Doman, and Laura Dern. If you look at his interviews, Neeson sees this film as a 360 from his Taken films.

Neeson plays a snow plow worker for a city outside of Denver, a ski resort town of Kehoe, Colorado. When his son is killed, he finds enough to start going after those that are responsible for his death. However, he plays a character that's on the straight and narrow and doesn't do crime well. As he goes, he ends up bumbling his way to revenge.

If you like Neeson, you'll like this film. The film takes the best of his Taken series and his more recent films as he's over 10 years older than his first Taken film. A interesting Neeson film that is worth a watch.

The Commuter - 疾速救援

The Commuter (疾速救援) is an 2018 film. The movie stars Liam Neeson. The supporting cast include Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, and Elizabeth McGovern.

Liam plays Michael MacCauley, a daily commuter to New York City. One day, he's given a choice to earn a lot of money if he can solve a train mystery. When he takes it as a joke, but finds that the movie is real, things get interesting. Figuratively, his hands are tied and he must now figure out the mystery before clues run out with each stop home. Can he solve the mystery and earn the money?

We've seen Liam Neeson transform in the last 10 years or so right in front of us. Neeson has been in big movies all his life, but he's still doing it now in his mid 60s. His mid 50s transformation into Taken form is that of legend. This movie takes that direction more or less, but on a commuter train. Neeson is awesome, I hope he keeps on going. Neeson is on 2-3 movies every year still. That's to be honored.

Taken 3 - 即刻救援3

Taken 3 (即刻救援3) is an 2014 film out of France. Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace, and Famke Janssen. Additional supporting cast include Dougray Scott and Forest Whitaker for this installment. This is the third installment, sequel Taken 2 and the original 2008 movie, Taken, all starring the same main cast. Due to its success at the box office worldwide, the third installment was most likely a money grab.

Bryan is still trying to be a good dad and ok ex-husband. But he seems to continue to be in both their lives and they don't always welcome it. This time around, the wife and daughter are the victims and he must use his very special set of skills to track and kill his enemies. This time, the movies takes place in Los Angeles and he make them look like people that can't find people.

This installment felt long. Felt like nothing was a surprise. If it was something new, because we know Mills is a badd @$$, you weren't impressed. You just assumed he could and should. If you haven't seen the first two, skip this one and go back and watch the first one. Its special.

A Walk Among The Tombstones - 鐵血神探

A Walk Among the Tombstones (鐵血神探) is an 2014 film. The movie stars Liam Neeson.

The movie stars Liam Neeson. And he kicks @$$ and ask questions after! Haha. Ok ok, I jest.

The movie starts with Liam Neeson playing Detective Matthew Scudder, all the way back in 1991. Matt enters a bar that provides free drinks to law enforcement. The bar is held up while he's there, leading to a gun fight where Scudder shoots all the bad guys. Fast forward to 1999, Scudder is no longer police, transitioning to private investigation work. A fellow AA member ask him to help his brother with a case. Reluctantly, Scudder agrees and goes down a rabbit whole chasing the bad guys.

The movie is dark, set in 1999, and Scudder's heroism shines. On the surface, we see a man that seems to have been broken and tells it like it is. Honest and no nonsense when he's working. The dark places he needs to go require him to remove his emotions and to put fear back on the bookshelf.

Liam's transition to hero roles is nothing short of amazing. From Taken all the way here, he's a bona fide action hero. If you like Liam, you'll like this film, but expect it dark.

Non-Stop - 空中救援 - 直航殺機

Non-Stop (空中救援) is an 2014 film. The film stars Liam Neeson. This movie is in a long line of current action films for Liam. Since Taken, Liam is had a steady stream of action films. Just click on the tag of this post to see all the movies he's been in recently.

Liam plays Bill Marks, an alcoholic U.S. federal air marshal, on a flight to London from New York. Marks seems a little out of sorts as he's seen putting alcohol into his coffee cup and spraying mouth fresher to cover it up. He's also seen as rule breaker when he smokes in the lavatory. Marks starts to get text that every 20 minutes, a person on the plane is going to die. Marks must now go into action to stop this terrorist. On the flip side, he's also being framed for the hijacking of the plane. Non-stop flight to London from New York.

The movie is a bit of different take on the Taken movies, but not by much. A flawed hero that is very good at getting to the bad and willing to do what it takes. The passengers are all suspects but they're not revealed until the end. I nice action movie that kept me in tuned even when the story wasn't exactly the strongest.

I do recommend this if you like Liam's other action films. In his 60s now, Liam is kicking butt and taking names later.

Battleship - 超級戰艦

Battleship (超級戰艦) is an 2012 film. The movie stars Taylor Kitsch. The supporting cast include Alexander Skarsgård, Rihanna, Brooklyn Decker, and Liam Neeson. The movie is advertised as being based loosely off a popular board game of the same name.

Taylor plays a navy seaman that gets into trouble a lot. But he's such a catch that the admiral's daughter finds him hot. Out on a routine training exercise, they are attacked by aliens. The the reconnaissance crew sent by the aliens crash lands by an island in Hawaii. The navy's ships are there, including Taylors. After some display of ultimate power from the aliens, they settle down and try to phone home. Taylor and what's left of the navy try to stop them.

I saw this movie via both rented blu-ray and on HBO. I had a hard time sitting through the whole thing. Almost none of the main characters appealed to me. I flat out didn't like them. They had heart during the battle as they should, but on their off hours, I don't know. I'd avoid them. Which made avoiding this movie something I wanted to do. But HBO's constant reruns got me. I got through the movie over like a span of a month. Just like its box office take, something you don't really need to watch unless HBO repeats it like crazy again.

The Grey - 即刻獵殺

The Grey (即刻獵殺) is an 2012 film. The movie stars Liam Neeson and wolves! The supporting cast include Frank Grillo and Dermot Mulroney.

Liam Neeson is a expert marksmen that kills wolves that threaten the safety of his company's oil operations. After his most current assignment, he's headed home with the rest of the crew, but his plans change when the plane crashes in a blizzard. The remaining survivors are in the wilderness and must now protect themselves from the local wolves. One by one, the remaining survivors are taken out by the wolves.

This movie was very morbid. Wolves are tough and they run in packs that make them very powerful. The struggle to survive when other humans are involved are always tricky. Humans suck and they are selfish. As is the case here. Had the survivors bonded together a little better, they may have made it out. Who knows, its a movie. The director takes you in the direction they seem fit. Liam has transformed himself into mister action and this vehicle was further proof.

Taken 2 - 即刻救援2

Taken 2 (即刻救援2) is an 2012 film. The movie stars Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace, and Famke Janssen. This film is the sequel to the 2008 movie, Taken, starring the same main cast. Due to its success at the box office worldwide, talks of a third installment have been rumored.

Liam Neeson plays a retired CIA agent, Bryan Mills, that moonlights as an bodyguard now. On assignment in Istanbul, Turkey, he invites his daughter and ex-wife to let off steam from their tumultuous LA lives. However, the Albanian kidnappers from the first movie has an extensive family that seeks revenge. They find out he's in Turkey and they will have blood. The movie starts with the kidnap of Bryan and his wife Kim. Lenore, the daughter, actually helps him out in this film.

This was a pretty ok movie. The action was furious and the plot line was straight forward. Revenge, revenge, and some more revenge. If you liked the first one, you'll get a kick out of this one.

Unknown - 狙擊陌生人

Unknown (狙擊陌生人) is an 2011 film. The film stars Liam Neeson, Diane Kruger, January Jones, and Aidan Quinn. Supporting cast includes Frank Langella, Bruno Ganz, and Sebastian Koch. The film was based in Berlin, Germany.

Liam Neeson plays Dr. Martin Harris who is married to Liz, played by January Jones. On his way to a conference in Berlin, Martin is part of a massive car accident and wakes up in the hospital. However, when he goes back to the hotel, he's no longer Martin Harris, but an impostor. Eventually finding his wife Liz, even she does not remember him. This sets a chain of events where Martin tries to get his identity back.

The movie was very much like Liam's action hero breakout roll in Taken. However, he doesn't kick as much @$$ in this one. But its about him finding a solution to his predicament. The ending does have a twist that you sort of already know might happen. See how much attention you can pay during the film with the little details.

Taken - 即刻救援

Taken (即刻救援) is an 2008 film. The movie stars Liam Neeson. The supporting cast includes Famke Janssen and Maggie Grace. Taken was a sleeper hit in 2009. With a very weak opening weekend, it ended up grossing a little over $225 million worldwide. A sequel is in the works.

Liam Neeson plays Bryan Mills, a retired CIA agent. Liam retired to the Los Angeles area in an attempt to spend more time with his 17 year old daughter, Kim played by Maggie Grace. Kim convinces Bryan to let her spend the summer in Paris at her friend Amanda's cousins house. When they get to Paris, they make quick friends with a handsome local. However, this local is setting them up for a kidnapping. While the kidnapping happens, Kim phones home to Bryan. Bryan starts from there to track down her daughter in Paris.

This film was very slow to start, but ended with a bang. I can see how it was sleeper hit. Liam isn't exactly your household action hero. However, the film was quite good and has made Liam a action star now. Maggie Grace does dump down your performance to play a 17 year old. A little too over in some cases, but effective enough. I just wonder where the authorities were when Liam went all action hero taking no prisoners in Paris and got home safely. Ugly Americans. Even though Liam is a Irish.
