District 9 (第九禁區) is a 2009 film out of South Africa. The star of the movie is Sharlto Copley. The movie had the backing of Peter Jackson.
Aliens have come and inhabited a special district in Johannesburg, South Africa. The aliens are now living in slums and the humans want to relocate them out of Johannesburg. A special taskforce is sent to relocate them and Sharlto Copley as Wikus van de Merwe is the leader.
If I reveal more of the plot, it will give it away. So I stop there.
The movie was a trip. The concepts of humanity vs. alien can be directly translated into race relations on earth.
