It Chapter Two - 牠 第二章

It Chapter Two (牠 第二章) is an 2019 film. The movie stars Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone, and Andy Bean as the older set. The younger set star Sophia Lillis, Jaeden Martell, Finn Wolfhard, Chosen Jacobs, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Wyatt Oleff. Bill Skarsgård returns as It, Pennywise the Dancing Clown. This was a sequel to It (牠) from 2017.



Set 27 years after the events of 1989, it is 2016 and they have all grown up. When they find out the Pennywise may not be dead, they must go back to Derry and kill It. Mike Hanlon calls his childhood friends, Bill Denbrough, Eddie Kaspbrak, Richie Tozier, Ben Hanscom, Stanley Uris, and Beverly Marsh to return. When they return back to Derry, they immediately start getting messed with by It. When Mike finds out a way to kill It, they must go about getting things to run a ritual to kill it. All of them must go back to their childhood stomping grounds, oftentimes reliving those horrible events in today's reality. Can they all retrieve their items and get the ritual performed?

This movie was super creepy. I have been watching horror movies since I was a wee lad and very little freaks me out. But Pennywise freaks me out. However, like I did for the first film, I got over It and continued on. In all, it felt totally different from the first film as this moved in more of a detective drama slant. The flashbacks were a good addition to bring things back to before.

Deadpool 2 - 死侍2

Deadpool 2 (死侍2) is an 2018 film. The movie stars Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. The supporting cast include Morena Baccarin, Josh Brolin, Julian Dennison, Zazie Beetz, T. J. Miller, Leslie Uggams, Brianna Hildebrand, Stefan Kapičić, Karan Soni, Shioli Kutsuna, Lewis Tan, Bill Skarsgård, Terry Crews, Brad Pitt, Rob Delaney, and Hayley Sales. The film is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, but in the Fox X-Men universe. This is also the long awaited sequel to Deadpool (惡棍英雄:死侍)



Wade has decided to lead a life of fighting crime. When a boy is in need of his help, he tries to help. Wade gets into the middle of fight between the boy and a time traveling bad @$$ named Cable. Cable is looking to get the boy and Deadpool wants to save the boy. Deadpool needs help and starts his own super group, the X-Force. Armed with new superheroes at his side, they set out to save the boy from Cable. Can Wade do it?

That's the plot from the trailer. But that's not what the film is about. If I wrote about it, it would take away from your enjoyment of the movie. Deadpool kind of goes a little darker with the story with the introduction of Cable and the X-Force. But its still Wade Wilson at heart and a Ryan Reynolds film. The director of this film is David Leitch, the uncredited co-director of the first John Wick movie. And you can tell from the action that this installment's action looks way better. Especially the hand to hand combat. They even made Josh Brolin look good.

All in all, I had fun watching this film. But just like the first Deadpool, I didn't necessary enjoy watching this again. I've never re-watched Deadpool in its entirety. Just bits and pieces from TV and HBO. I suspect the same for this installment.

This film does feature quite the good looking Asians. From the Hong Kong Triads to the Japanese Triad montages, and than to Shatterstar played by Lewis Tan. They end it finally with Shioli Kutsuna who brings the "ah, how cute" moments to the film. This film had it all.

Atomic Blonde - 極凍之城

Atomic Blonde (極凍之城) is an 2017 film. The movie stars Charlize Theron. The supporting cast include James McAvoy, John Goodman, Sofia Boutella, and Bill Skarsgård. The movie is directed by David Leitch, the uncredited co-director of John Wick.

During the late 1980s cold war, a British spy is found and killed, but not before he's got the list of all the undercover agents in the Eastern block. The killer is set on selling the list to the highest bidder. Trouble is, its still the cold war, and its in the communist side of Berlin. Lorraine Broughton, played by Charlize Theron, is a MI6 field agent sent to track down the list. The agent on the inside is David Percival, played by James McAvoy. Together, they have to figure out where the killer is and how to get the list back before it goes public.

This movie played much like the action of John Wick. Fast paced and hard hitting. When the action starts, it's relentless and brutal. If you're a fan of Gun-fu and the John Wick series, this will be right up your alley. I for one really like the film. The music added a bit of nostalgic for me.

I rented it on Redbox and recently picked up a digital copy on sale. I am set to watch this again someday.

It (牠) is an 2017 film. The movie stars Jaeden Lieberher and Bill Skarsgård. The supporting cast include Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, and Jack Dylan Grazer. The movie became a surprise hit of the post summer movie season.

Jaeden Lieberher plays Bill Denbrough, who loses his brother to a killer clown, Pennywise, played by Bill Skarsgård. The next summer, they let of school and look for adventure. Of bill, its to explore the sewers in search of his brother. The group of his friends label themselves the Losers for their imperfect personal traits that make them unpopular at school. As they search the sewers, they start to uncover clues. But the town bully is hot on their tail and give them chaos. Pennywise than targets each of them with horrors only they can see. Chased by both Pennywise and the town bully, can they solve the mystery of Bill's missing brothers?

This movie surprised me. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it so much. Maybe its because it they went back to my childhood era of the 1980s. It was a similar feel to the Stranger Things television series. A more innocent time if you can call the 1980s that. And when the world wasn't as connected through technology.

I would watch it again and recommend all ages to watch.
