Iron Man 3 - 鋼鐵人3 - 鐵甲奇俠3 - 钢铁侠3

The Movie
Iron Man 3 (鋼鐵人3/鐵甲奇俠3/钢铁侠3) is an 2013 film. The film stars Robert Downey, Jr. The supporting cast include Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Ben Kingsley, and Jon Favreau. The movie was released in 3D, IMAX, and IMAX 3D. I was able to catch it via fake IMAX 3D in Downtown Disney's AMC. This movie played more as an sequel to Marvel's Avengers than it was a sequel to Iron Man 2. I liked it better than Iron Man 2 by a long margin and liked it slightly less than Iron Man and Avengers.

The Cast
Tony Stark/Iron Man - Robert Downey, Jr.
Virginia "Pepper" Potts - Gwyneth Paltrow
Col. James "Rhodey" Rhodes / Iron Patriot / War Machine - Don Cheadle
Aldrich Killian - Guy Pearce
Dr. Maya Hansen - Rebecca Hall
Happy Hogan - Jon Favreau
Mandarin - Ben Kingsley

Synopsis
Tony Stark is played by Robert Downey, Jr. and is in trouble. We than flashback to NYE 1999 and is voiced-over to how this night caused so much trouble. Tony is trying to get in the pants of a Maya Hansen, played by Rebecca Hall, a botanist set on regeneration. By the end of the night, Maya and Tony hook up. The morning, Tony is out of town leaving a message and making this an official one night stand. That night, Aldrich Killian of AIM, played by Guy Pearce, tries to get Tony to invest in his start up. Tony leaves him hanging. Fast forward to the present. Tony is going nuts after New York and builds and builds lot of Armors. His latest is Mark 42.

The Bad Guys
The bad guys in the movie isn't the ones in front of you. Without spoiling the movie, the twist with the villans is quite awesome. The movie does take liberties with the Extremis storyline from the comics, it was still a great interpretation. You get both Maya and Killian from the comic series. Through in the racist iconic Mandarin, you got yourself a great movie. Not to mention that they repurposed AIM as well.

My Thoughts
I loved the movie! I thought they continued the story as part of Avengers vs. Iron Man 2. That makes you forget that Iron Man 2 existed. Avengers will be such an iconic film for the ages that this one may not stand the test of time. Iron Man (first movie) was also iconic for other reasons, but this can't compare in terms of impact. Iron Man 3 does come out during a down 2013 in the US box office. I do highly recommend this movie
