The A-Team -- 天龍特攻隊

The A-Team (天龍特攻隊) is a 2010 film out of the USA. The movie stars Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, Sharlto Copley, and Jessica Biel. The movie is based on the 1980s television series of the same name. I grew up watching The A-Team and the many reruns. The movie is a current day interpretation of the television series. The tagline for the A-Team is slightly updated for the 2010 film:

(Ten years ago / In 1972), a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The A-Team

Netflix has this plot summary:

This updated feature-film take on the hit 1980s television show follows a group of Iraq War veterans on the run from U.S. military forces while they try to clear their names after being framed for a crime they didn't commit. Along the way, Col. Hannibal Smith, Capt. H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock , Sgt. Bosco "B.A." Baracus and Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck help out various people they encounter. Joe Carnahan directs this high-octane actioner.

In all honestly, I had low expectations going into in due its poor performance at the box office over the summer of 2010. So, I didn't think this would be a great or even good film. With that in mind, I actually liked the movie. It wasn't campy like the television serious. It didn't go easy on the violence. And it didn't go easy on the plot. The plot was all over the place.

If you've read my blog for awhile, you'll notice that do follow MMA like I do the NBA and NFL. And Rampage is one of my favorite MMA fighters. And Rampage did a fair job playing BA. Bradley Cooper seems to fit the role of "Face" like a charm. The rest of the cast just fell in line.

If you're looking for an action movie with no pretentions of greatness. A film that looks to take blow things up as much as possible. This is for you. Fun and irrelevant. Just remember to go in with low expectations.
