2012 is a 2009 film. The film stars John Cusack, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Amanda Peet. There's a huge supporting cast to go with the three main characters.
The movie starts with Chiwetel Ejiofor as a geologist named Adrian Helmsley. Adrian finds that the year 2012 could result in massive world destruction. Adrian is a fan of an author, Jackson Curtis played by John Cusack. Jackson is a failed writer that drives limos. Jackson's ex-wife, Amanda Peet as Kate Curtis, with whom they have 2 children always on him for being a dreamer and not caring for her or their children. When the crazy Earth stuff happens, Jackson goes into action to save his family and Adrian tries to save as many.
The is one of those big disaster flicks that makes for a fun night of eating popcorn at home. It is not a guilty pleasure film, but its a fun watch for those looking for simple action and nothing to really think about.
