Mission:Impossible – Ghost Protocol (不可能的任務:鬼影行動) is an 2011 film. The movie stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, and Paula Patton. The supporting cast include Michael Nyqvist, Anil Kapoor, Josh Holloway, and Tom Wilkinson. Ving Rhames and Michelle Monaghan also make cameo appearances. This is the fourth installment of the Mission Impossible movie franchise. I actually saw this in the theaters. The movie trailers included the 2012 Avengers' and G.I. Joe movies. Awesome time.
Tom Cruise is back as Ethan Hunt. Among those joining him are Jeremy Renner as congressmen's "secret service" agent. The tech person in this movie is Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn. The femme fetal is Paula Patton as Jane Carter. Hunt is extracted from prison and starts a long process to get a notorious terrorist seeking a nuclear weapon head. Along the way, they are set up and have to go at it alone without help. Lots and lots of crazy operations until they catch their guy.
I didn't want to write up too much of the movie due to the roller coaster storyline. You need to be in suspence. Directed by a former Pixar guy, this movie was action packed and it had a pace that just didn't calm down. I loved it. I'd rank this right under Jonh Woo's M:I:2.
