Lethal Weapon 4 - 致命武器 4
Lethal Weapon 4 (致命武器 4) is the 1998 film that introduced Jet Li to the North American audience. I caught this on TNT last night while I was washing my dishes.
If you know anything about the Lethal Weapon films, it stars Mel Gibson and Danny Glover as LAPD cops. In the fourth installment, the plot of the film revolves around their investigation of an Chinese immigrant smuggling operation. Glover happens to take in a guy that was smuggled into the US.
Queue racist Chinese jokes. Queue racist Chinatown stereotypes. Queue stupid ching chong music. Queue all that crap and you have Lethal Weapon 4.
Jet Li plays a boss from Hong Kong. He has some nasty ponytail and only wears kung fu gear.
